Caesars Southern Indiana Caesars Southern Indiana (formerly Caesars Indiana and Horseshoe Southern Indiana) is a casino hotel in Southern Indiana. Opened in 1998, it is owned by Vici Properties and operated by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, using the Caesars name under license from Caesars Entertainment. It is located outside the community of Elizabeth, Indiana at the Harrison County line, across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky. This is the closest casino to Louisville because casino gambling is not allowed in neighboring Floyd County. Locals often simply call it “The Boat”, a reference to the former riverboat that was the main focus of the complex. The complex includes over 100,000 square feet (9,300 m2) of gaming space, a sports betting lounge, and several restaurants. Other amenities include a hotel, a pavilion, a showroom, two parking decks, and a golf course. Steelman Partners designed the hotel.

Displayed are unique artifacts ranging from early fashion pieces to winning Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas’ trophies and artwork entrusted to the Museum in 2017. Visitors can call a race, play Derby trivia and learn about what it takes to be a jockey.

O'Shea's Public House The O’Shea’s tradition started way back when the young Mary O’Shea moved to Chicago in 1923, leaving her large family’s farm life behind for the big city and finding her true calling in hospitality. She would bring that enthusiasm and experience to Louisville in 1958 and open Mary’s Chateau. It was the beginning of a 4 generation family business focused on providing great cheer to all they served.

Mary’s became O’Shea’s Pub in 1980 and in 1994 moved to Baxter Avenue in the Highlands, helping to anchor the new entertainment district that was growing in that famous neighborhood. In 2010 Patrick O’Shea’s opened in Downtown Louisville. The family reclaimed a four story historic building in the Iron Quarter, adding O’Shea’s style, charm and legendary welcome to the downtown renaissance and welcoming the 4th generation of O’Shea’s into the fold.

In keeping with the family tradition of great hospitality in great neighborhoods, our latest location, H.M. Frank’s opened in downtown Jeffersonville in Spring of 2016. Another great building has been refurbished and is now home to the newest incarnation of O’Shea’s, offering a world class bar, great food and entertainment to O’Shea’s fans across the river, in just the kind of friendly, welcoming venue they have come to expect.

A Novel by Cindy Victor
http://www.leoagreyhoundtale.com “A 5 paw book! Once you start reading, you will not be able to put it down! You will be rooting for Leo from page one. Read it yourself, then share it with the rest of the family. And don’t be surprised if you find large paw prints on the pages!”
—Rory S. Goree, President, Greyhound Pets of America

Written for adults and older children, the book is about a retired racer’s search for love after becoming the pet of a celebrity couple who chose him only for his looks. Information on Greyhound behavior and care is woven into a plot that takes Leo from whimpering cowardice to heroic courage. And along the way, he becomes an accidental matchmaker. To read reviews, chapter titles, excerpts, and Leo’s mail order form, please visit www.leoagreyhoundtale.com. Leo is available from Amazon.com and other booksellers. But on orders sent directly to the author at www.leoagreyhoundtale.com, she donates a portion of the proceeds to the rescue or animal help agency of the buyer’s choice.
